Alexandru Zegrea, M.A. / Senior Consultant

Alexandru Zegrea is since 2014 mainly in charge of the regional focus Central and Eastern Europe as well as for the Middle East.

He was born in Timisoara (Romania), where he attended the German school. After his Bacalaureat, he studied International Relations (B.A.) at the Dresden University of Technology and International Law (M.A.) at King’s College London. As a Fulbright Fellow he subsequently completed a one-year research sojourn on the Middle East at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Alexandru Zegrea was project manager at a US NGO in the field of education. Furthermore, he was research assistant at the Dresden University of Technology, the University of Washington and the German Parliament. His areas of expertise are international law, energy, conflict resolution and education.

In addition to his native language Romanian, he speaks German and English and has good knowledge of French and Arabic.
